The Daintree Rainforest

A lot of visitors to the Tropical North Queensland area of Australia are making the Daintree Rainforest a destination for themselves. This unusual ecological place is listed on the World Heritage list, it's an older natural space than the Amazon with an incredible amount of ecological and historical importance. It's ability to assist humankind in understanding the world's history is why it's listed with the World Heritage.
We all know a rainforest is a great site to go see and experience, with it's green lushness going out as far as you can see. The location is only 45 minutes from Port Douglas areas and approximately an hour and a half from Cairns. So it's convenient irregardless of where you choose your accommodations within the TNQ.
Daintree accommodations are very varied and cater to all budgets. There are some ultra modern spas with private cabins nestled in the rainforest as well as the incredibly beautiful Daintree Riverview Caravan Park. These modest accommodations are offered at an incredible price and offer spectacular views of the Daintree River. It is a great place to stay if you are a true nature lover or on a limited budget.
Maybe one of the coolest attributes of the Daintree Rainforest is that it comes right up to the Great Barrier Reef, another World Heritage site. Within the rainforest the plant material is amazing, some similar to what they were on earth a hundred million years previous. This ecology here also contains angiosperms that are the first known flowering plants. To get a really good view of the area there are self guided or guided tours available to help you.

Having an unending number of attractions and natural wonders in the Tropical North Queensland is amazing but some of the very best sites are those coming out of the earth, all the natural habitats and ecologies. They are all full of their own special splendor and you will experience it no matter where you lay your head and no matter what your budget is, there is something here for everyone to enjoy.
