Pilolarless ballroom which can seat 220 pax and three smaller rooms which can be used individually or opened out to form one larger function room. General: This is the leading hotel in Mandalay. Hotel is situated at the south-west edge of the Mandalay Fort, facing Mandalay hill, about 5 minutes drive from downtown. Its own grounds comprise four acres of landscaped gardens. Cafe Mandalay to the right of the lobby is where buffet breakfast is taken, as well as a la carte lunch and dinners from a menu of Asian and international dishes. Mediterranean cuisine served at Uno, currently open on a seasonal basis (usually October- April ). Cocktails, beers and soft drinks served at Planters Bar to the right of the lobby. It is attractive, lengthy, midrise building, in a two tone cream and coffee colour scheme, and teakwood roofing adding a touch of traditional Burmese style to an otherwise very modern construction. Lobby is large, long and marbled, with the reception desk placed in the centre directly ahead of the entrance. To the left there is a small bar, and to the far right the all purpose restaurant. Ample space for group check-in.
